Hope for the Holidays with Global Refuge

As 2023 wrapped up, I had the opportunity to photograph Hope for the Holidays, hosted by Global Refuge, at their Baltimore headquarters. This event was really beautiful and inspiring to be a part of, and see so many volunteers come out!

It’s always a joy to connect with new clients, and I was especially grateful to get to work with the nonprofit team at Global Refuge over the holiday. Their organization’s mission and sentiments were felt, even in just the couple hours I was photographing this event. A note – LIRS (Lutheran Immigration Refugee Service) has recently become Global Refuge – and as their site states, this is to reflect the “growing worldwide need for compassion and support.” Volunteers wrote holiday messages to immigrant families and asylum seekers coming to the US and packed care packages to distribute as well. So glad to be able to capture this event and hope to be a part of many more with this team! Thank you for having me there to document 2023’s Hope for the Holidays event!
