To welcome attendees to ReFED’s 2024 summit, the To welcome attendees to ReFED’s 2024 summit, they had a choice of field trip, including @plantationparkheights_uf and @mdfoodbank . These were both informative and engaging for visitors and even offered hands on ways to get involved. Loved seeing what these orgs are doing - and had an especially fun time meeting some sweet farm life too! 🐈‍⬛ 🐓🌱 . . . . Special thanks to @britneyclause for the on site editing and assisting! (And cat snuggling at the farm😸)
📍 ReFED chose Baltimore as the location for its 📍 ReFED chose Baltimore as the location for its 2024 summit with intent - and this choice gave the opportunity for attendees to learn more about what’s happening here locally that can be applied across the country and globe. It was impossible to listen to all the amazing guests and speakers without such a sense of pride in this city and the work folks (like @baltimorecompostcollective!) are doing to combat food waste at its intersection of environmental justice. Thank you @refed_fightsfoodwaste for gathering in Baltimore! . . . . Special thanks to @britneyclause for the on site editing and assisting!
Ready for a recap of my time with ReFED? The @refe Ready for a recap of my time with ReFED? The @refed_fightsfoodwaste 2024 Food Waste Summit was held in Baltimore, and everything about it felt vibrant! (and I don’t just mean the gorgeous new @jessieandkatey mural outside the @baltimoreconventioncenter! 😍) Everyone was genuinely so excited to see each other and to discuss how to better address the “dumbest problem” we have: food waste. The ReFED team is a truly incredible group (SO grateful to have worked together!) and it’s no wonder so many people were excited to take part in this year’s summit! Can’t wait to share lots more! . . . . Special thanks to @britneyclause for the on site editing and assisting!
