Christina & Eric :: Harford Baltimore County Engagement Session

Eek! It’s been way too long since I’ve caught up on posting some sessions here. It’s shameful!! Bad Marlayna! (which is why you should please please follow me on facebook – I do a much better job updating things there!)

But I’ve been dying to share these photos for a while now, and for many reasons beyond the fact that I just love how they turned out. These are also images that I’m personally attached to. I really don’t even know where to start other than to say that Christina has been family to me since I can remember. Our families have always been close & I feel so fortunate that in recent years we’ve spent tons of time together! I could not stop tearing up when, at Christina’s graduation party this summer, Eric PROPOSED! It was so beautiful and I am so honored to be a part of it all (& her maid of honor!!!) You two make me so happy, & as much as our family has teased Eric about being quiet at parties, he has really opened up and hey, we haven’t scared him off yet! haha Seriously though – I’m trying not to get too sappy, but you two are truly perfect together & I am so excited for you both!! <3

& That’s why I could not be more pleased to share these photos from Christina & Eric’s engagement session! Despite the rain that tried to drown us out, we had a ton of fun!! I can’t stop smiling when I look at how much love you two have for each other!! :D

Our first stop: the high school where they went to school, met and oh yeah, fell in love <3

No lie, I asked Christina if Eric had written anything sweet in her yearbook back then. He had actually written that that year had been the best because he “met his future wife.” I get chills every time. Sweetest thing ever!!

You two are absolutely amazing and beautiful!

Haha so the side affect of photographing at the school… having an audience of a line of cars of parents waiting to pick their kids up from summer camp. Oops!!

We couldn’t resist some football rivalry shots before heading down to the Avenues at White Marsh!

I have to say that I hope these images are proof that a put together outfit can add that extra touch of amazing to a shot. Christina did such a great job – and these outfits were perfect for the avenues! Goodness you two clean up well! ;)

Now of course, if you had seen us while we were shooting these you would have thought.. why is that photographer so frantic?! And then you would look up to the sky and see the dark rain clouds rolling in. Ah! So we worked fast to get as many shots as possible before the rain came and (so I thought) before we packed up and left. But Christina and Eric were such troopers and powered through the rain. Meanwhile I was shooting from under one of Eric’s work jackets! hahah it was probably a ridiculous sight for bystanders but I absolutely adore the result!

Hanging out and hoping the rain would pass (which of course it didnt!)

So they danced in the rain!! <3

& like it was right out of a movie, Eric dipped Christina, dancing & kissing in the rain and it was just too much cute for one moment!!! Haha but really, this has got to be one of my favorites:

Such an amazing time with you two! I am beyond words excited to be a part of your wedding!!
