For-fun Portraits: Photographers at the park | Howard County, MD

The winter months for most wedding photographers in this area are basically considered the “slow season.” Funny enough though, it hasn’t been totally slow this winter (hint hint, I have more blogging to do soon!!). But that said, as much as being really busy can feel a little insane at times, I find myself not really knowing what to do when I do actually have a break. So this week, I was feeling a little off and needing to fulfill some creative itch. I had walked around Centennial Park Tuesday morning to do some location scouting – I love photographing families and engagements at this park but felt like I needed to check out some new areas! – and then I suddenly realized that taking some portraits there, that day NEEDED to happen!  So I sent Britney a message to see about totally impromptu photos and YES she was in! :) Britney, thank you so much for being up for this and on such short notice. I’m fairly sure it was exactly what we both needed, without us necessarily realizing how much we needed it. It was the perfect excuse to get outside in the decent weather, take some completely no-pressure portraits just for fun, and probably weird-out all the other park guests who walked by! Such an awesome afternoon – filled with some portraits I’m pretty obsessed with + the bonus of a lot of hilarious outtakes! Thank you Britney – for hanging out and having a fun photo shoot, and for even managing to make me look decent despite my ridiculousness as a “model”  ;)  & Go check out Britney’s portrait post too, aptly subtitled “weirding out strangers” hahaha <3

All the best bloopers. We have them. That’s a photo of what Britney claimed are shriveled tomatoes because she has quickly learned I have a tomato obsession. Yup. hahah

LOOK AT THOSE SOCKS. So cute!

Decided to try out some multiple exposures in camera. Interesting results.. haha

LOVE these!!

Seriously these are some of my favorites! Britney + tall grasses + pretty light = win.

I’m an adult, I swear.

This is what happens when I “act natural” – this is why I stay on the other side of the camera.

Aww one where I look like a real adult! And then the next frame chewing on grass.. I’m sorry Britney haha.

I love how these turned out!!

Tried to call the ducks over. They were not fans.

So much silliness.. thank you Britney for putting up with me and for sharing in the fun!! Definitely need to do this more often!

Happy weekend-ing all!!

PS. Ekiben is celebrating their one year anniversary at Union tonight! Go Go Go!! (I mean just look at how beautifully delicious?!)
