2017 Recap and thank you!!

2017.. you were an unpredictable year, and unbelievable in a lot of ways. Some frustrating moments for sure, but some hopeful ones as well. And sitting down to collect photos for this post shows me just how many good, beautiful and love filled moments there were.

There were some pretty awesome highlights, such as: my first 10-weddings-in-10-weeks (one weekend was a double-header!), which was largely made possible with the help of Adam keeping us fed and me sane, and my mom second-shooting and helping with other behind-the-scenes tasks! I am immensely grateful to every couple who let me be a part of their beautiful weddings! It also rained a LOT this year, but my couples took it in stride and had fun with it (and Molly even wrote a rainy wedding guest post about it!). I also had the privilege of photographing the sweetest proposal for Becca & Pete and at one of our favorite places, Avalon NJ! It was so much fun to be in on that surprise! And even sweeter to see everyone again after getting to photograph her sister Jenn’s wedding to Zach over the summer! And I definitely have to pinch myself because I was SO thrilled and honored to have Dreux & Pat’s wedding featured online for Washingtonian Weddings! This was such a dream to have work featured there and I love that it was Dreux & Pat’s gorgeous summer wedding that got there! Plus a few other weddings were featured as well on United with LoveLove Inc and Magnet Street Weddings!

This year also brought the chance to meet lots of new friendors (vendor friends!), and photograph (and eat!!) sooo much delicious food! With the help of my friend and talented designer Candace, I finally ordered my wedding guide for new couples! 2017 allowed me to celebrate with so many families that welcomed new babies, including getting to document my bestie’s growing family!! It was the biggest honor to celebrate Jenna & Jake welcoming baby Dean (see below)! And from the beginning of the year to mini sessions through the end of 2017, I loved getting to document both familiar and new faces and families, even including two sweet families in the snow!

There’s so much more that was packed into this year and I wish I could share it all at once! I’ll be posting again soon with more favorites from mini sessions plus what’s in store for the new year… but for now I just want to say THANK YOU so so much, to every couple, family, client, friendor, family and friend that made this year awesome. Congratulations to my couples that celebrated weddings and engagements this year.. and can’t wait to see you all in 2018!! <3
