Megan & Zack :: Avalon, NJ Sunrise Engagement Session

As with all sessions, I’m SO excited when I finally get a chance to share my favorites here on the site! & this session is even more special so I am EXTRA excited!! :D

I think it was right around the winter holidays last year on a car ride home from a family dinner that Megan and I started talking about all the exciting details she and Zack were planning for their 2013 wedding (to really picture this scene, Adam is sleeping against the window next to me, oblivious to our whole conversation :P hahaha). Where would they have it and what kind of food… and that’s when we first started talking about how fun it would be to do their engagement session sometime over the upcoming summer! At this time Megan & Zack were still living in Chicago so we originally thought about somewhere near the water.. in Harford County that is.. somewhere like Havre de Grace maybe? But then as the months went on and Megan & Zack moved back to Maryland (yay!) and decided on Avalon, NJ for their wedding (a really beautiful New Jersey beach, home to many years of Adam & Megan’s family’s vacations!) we realized that the it would be perfect to do the engagement photos there as well!!  & It really was the perfect spot and soo much fun :D

Oh and not only was it the perfect spot… but in case you missed it in the title of this post – we did this session at sunrise! So those that know me probably know I’m not a huge morning person. In fact, I’m pretty sure out of the three of us (Megan Zack & I) that Megan is the best at getting up early but I am SO GLAD she suggested we try sunrise, and hey – at least being in these later months it wasn’t quite as early as it could have been! :P haha Seriously though, it was so worth it. And Megan & Zack were SO great and natural in front of the camera.

So beyond all of that story telling, I just have to say that I am so happy for Megan & Zack! You two are so great & I can tell that you already do and definitely will have so much fun together & it sooo shows in these photos! :) Congratulations you two! So excited for you and now the big day is less than a year away!! :D

Ahh Megan you are so beautiful! These two (above) are two of my favorites! So much love! It makes me smile!!

Oooh but what am I saying, this next one is another one of my ALL TIME favorites (& a facebook teaser)! So perfect!!

I adore this next little series. Originally we really wanted to do some photos inside of the arcade but for some odd reason it wasn’t open… at 8 in the morning haha. But these stairs right next to the arcade had the perfect lighting. Oh and can I also just take a moment to draw some attention to how awesomely stylish these two are?!?! :D

Hahah you have to do a double take above. That photo cracks me upppp!! It is so them too – lots of silliness and fun and laughing :)

& With these last collages I will bring my gushing to a close! haha but I just have to say one more time that I am so happy for you two & I had so much fun shooting and editing these photos. Cannot wait to celebrate and see you two get married next fall at what is sure to be a beautiful wedding!! :)
